MAN’S UTTER HELPLESSNESS
Shafeequl Ummah Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Farooq Sahib رحمه الله advised on the contemptibly and unfaithful nature of the desire for wealth and fame; let us assess our lives.
We are so busy…. some are amassing wealth, some are contemplating purchasing luxury vehicles, some are planning building empires, some are hankering after fame…. when the reality of death overtakes us, all our friends and family will leave us and look at means of securing their security.
We are surrounded by our houses, buildings, businesses, employment, security and life insurance policies – we foolishly think that we can fall back onto these ‘supports’ but nobody has, nor will be able to take his means of support to the grave other than what he has deposited in the treasury for the Aakhirah.
At this juncture, let us sincerely consider; what have we sent forth as security for the Aakhirah?
The reality of the world cannot be relied upon. Many near and dear ones (including our parents!) have gone to the mercy of Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله. When did we remember them? How often do we remember them. Have we sought forgiveness on their behalf? When was the last time we made tilaawah and passed on the reward to them?
(Read 3 times Surah Ikhlaas for all the Marhumeen)
We will be alone with our actions after we leave this world; it is therefore essential that we fine-tune our focus towards salvation in the Aakhirah.
May Allah Ta’ala grant us the tawfeeq to have correct priorities.
آمين يارب العالمين
