The Best of All Creation ﷺ

And verily you (O Muhammed ﷺ) are of a tremendous nature.

Rasulullah ﷺ was neither tall nor was he short (like a dwarf-he was of a medium stature). In complexion he was neither very white like lime, nor very dark, nor brown which results in darkness. (He was illuminant, more luminous than even the full moon on the 14th night). The hair of Rasulullah ﷺ was neither very straight nor very curly (but slightly wavy). When he attained the age of forty, Allah Most High granted him nubuwwah (prophethood)…………….He passed away at the age of sixty years. At that time there were not more than twenty white hair on his mubarak head and beard.

Hadhrat Bara bin Aazib رضي الله عنه  relates that:

Rasulullah ﷺ was a man of medium build (slightly tall); he had broad shoulders (from which we may gather that he had a wide chest); he had dense hair which reached his ear-lobes; he wore a striped lungi and shawl. I never saw anybody or anything more handsome than him.

The Ulama have written that Hadhrat Bara رضي الله عنه did not see ‘anything’ more handsome and beautiful than Nabi ﷺ . This is said because besides human beings, the moon, sun, etc. are also included.

There is a Hadith by Hadhrat Ali رضي الله عنه, towards the end, he says;

I did not see anyone like him neither before him, nor after him.

This statement is used primarily for emphasis. By describing Nabi ﷺ in this manner, there is however no exaggeration because the complete beauty of appearance of Nabi ﷺ cannot be fully described. A scholar has written that every person is required to believe that with whatever beautiful qualities and attributed, the body of Nabi ﷺ is described, no other person can compare with it.

How beautifully our beloved mother Sayyidah Aaishah bint Abi Bakr رضي الله عنهما , the daughter of the best friend of Nabi ﷺ, the beloved wife of Nabi ﷺ says;

If the friends of Zulaykha could see the blessed face of Rasulullah ﷺ , they would have cut their hearts instead of their hands!

How handsome and beautiful is my Nabi ﷺ! SubhanAllah. Even the word ‘handsome’ is an understatement. Nabi ﷺ possessed جمال (beauty) and كمال (perfection)…

O the Rabb of Muhammed ( ﷺ ) , send salaat and salaam on the best of all creation, Sayyiduna Muhammed ﷺ!

I once saw RasulAllah ﷺ on the night of the full moon. On that night, he wore red clothing. At times I looked at the full moon, and at times at Rasulullah ﷺ. Ultimately, I came to to the conclusion that Rasulullah ﷺ was more handsome, beautiful and radiant than the full moon.

It was as if the brightness of the sun had shone from his auspicious face – Abu Hurairah

It was as though his body was covered and moulded in silver – Abu Hurairah

SubhanAllah…

  1. Assalamu alaikum…jazakallah khair for lovely post. But maaf there is little error…

    You mentioned

    He passed away at the age of sixty years.

    He passed away at 63 years.
    Maaf..jazakallah khair

    1. Wa alaylum salaam. Aameen! The Hadith mentions 60 years. This is contrary to what has been reported in other Hadith, where it is stated that Nabi salAllahu alayhi wa salam passed away at the age of 63. There is a lengthy discussion and explanation as to why Hadhrat Anas radhiyAllahu anhu mentioned 60 and not 63. For more check in the explanation of Shamail Tirmidhi. I can get back to you though regarding it if you want more clarification?
      Aameen.
