Ultra Music Festival is an annual outdoor electronic music festival that occurs in March in the city of Miami, Florida, United States. This year 2016, this festival will be taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Basically, it’s a concert where dancing, intermingling of genders, drugs, alcohol, acts of indecency take place.

Sadly many Muslim youth will be attending this festival which has absolutely no good in it. This festival begins after Jumuah salaah.

May Allah save us.

-If you look at the lyrics of most music, none of them contain happy feelings. Most of them contain sad and depressing words. This has an effect on the brain. Due to this, many teenagers go through constant sadness and grief. This is what a great effect it has on the brain.

-I found this on the internet:
Reggae fans are not hardworking.
Dance fans are not gentle.
Indie fans have low self-esteem, not hard working, and not gentle.
Rock/heavy metal fans have low self-esteem, not hard-working, not outgoing.
Chart pop fans are not creative and not at ease.

I don’t actually know what type of genres the above are because I do not listen to music Alhamdulillah..but that’s the truth!

-Hard Metal Rock music creates hate, distrust, disgust that leads to rebellion and aggressive and self-destructive behavior especially to young people.

-Some music encourages infidelity to some people.

Music can cause stereotyping. If people here aren’t being judged on their appearance then they’re being judged on what music they listen to, (although often they relate – e.g. I wear baggy jeans and therefore the kids assume I’m into rock music), which can lead to more serious bullying; especially in places in which people know your business (what music you listen to in this case), like school.

-People responding to lyrics and acting upon them (shooting people, taking drugs, etc

Among the things that are clearly forbidden which no Muslim can be unaware of, such as: Adultery, drinking alcohol, music, and wearing silk for men. Nabi (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) spoke of a group from his Ummah (who would emerge) toward the end of time and would regard these forbidden things as permissible; he (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) regarded that as a sign of the approach of the Hour.

Regarding it permissible can mean two things:
(i) That they may believe these things to be permissible and are not forbidden.
(ii) Or they become accustomed to doing them, and these actions are widespread among people, to the extent that no one denouncrs tgem verbally or internall in their hearts, so people do not feel that they are forbidden when they are doing them.

One of the most serious sin today is one that many people are suffering from, listening to songs and music. This is one of the greatest causes of spiritual diseases in the heart and it distracts people from remembering Allah, praying and listening to and benefiting from the Qur’an.

Allah says:

And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the path of Allah, ot the Verses of the Qur’aan) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment ( in the Hell-fire )” [Luqmaan 31:6]

The scholars interpreted the words idle talks as referring to singing and musical instruments.
With listening to musical instruments, Nabi (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) also mentioned Zina (adultery/fornication) and drinking alcohol.
He (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) said,

“There will be among my Ummah people who will regard as permissible adultery, silk, alcohol, and musical instruments.”

The popularity of music has become so widespread today that satellite channels have been set up to broadcast all different types of songs; radio stations also exist which are devoted to music and singing 24 hours a day and they never stop for the news or the Qur’aan. This is one of the signs of the Hour and an indication of the truthfulness of what Nabi (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) foretold. So the Muslim Ummah should beware of this.

Abdullah bin Mas’ood (radhiyAllahu anhu) said,

Music makes hypocrisy grow in the heart as water makes plants grow.

Dajjal is derived from Dajal which means deception and music is deception.

It is said that if a person abstains from a sin no matter how difficult it is to surpress his nafs, he will get the reward/status of a martyr.

The reward of a martyr is that before the blood has to reach the ground, he is forgiven for every sin except debt.

It is also said that in that critical moment of avoiding the sin (e.g turning away from music) out of the fear of Allah – if in that moment a person makes du’aa, it will most definitely be accepted.

S T A Y    A W A Y    F R O M    M U S I C!

Have you ever heard the words of the Qur’aan? It is the most beautiful thing ever! The words have such an effect on your heart and mind that in whatever condition you may be in, you automatically feel happy!

There are so many beautiful Qiraat out there.

F A L L    I N    L O V E   W I T H    T H E    Q U R ‘ A A N !!

Something to the effect) Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (radhiyAllahu anhu)  said, “The Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) asked me to recite the Qur’an.”
He said “Messenger of Allah, [how] should I recite to you whereas it has been sent down to you? He (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) said, “I desire to hear it from some-one else.” “So I recited Surat an-Nisa [4] till I reached the verse: “How then shall it be when We shall bring from every people a witness and bring you against them as a witness?” [4:41]. I lifted my head or a person touched me in my side, and so I lifted my head and saw his blessed tears falling.
Muslim Shareef.

From the above Hadith it is proven that it is a Sunnah to listen to the Qur’aan.

O Ummah? What will you choose? Qur’aan or music??

If you know of anyone attending this concert stop the person in a kind way.

A Hadith states that a director to good gets the reward of the one doing the good and an inviter to evil gets the sin of the one doing the sin.

Do not invite others to such evil! Every sin they commit, the sin will fall upon you.

Also do not shun those who commit such acts, try and encourage them to good.!

May Allah grant us steadfasteness in our actions.

May Allah save the entire Ummah from the fitnahs that are prevelant in todays time.

May Allah save us from the fitnah of Dajjal!

Request for special du’aas.
