Friendships, Betrayal and Islam

We were best friends.

She promised not to betray me.

We were gonna be friends forever.

How could she?

I trusted her and now…

I’m going to be friendless for life.

Oh oh oh. Hey there, dear friend 🙂

Familiar sentiments right?

I know exactly what you saying.

“I was friends with Faseeha and I mean really we spoke so often. We were besties. And it just happened and we don’t talk anymore.
What is wrong with me?!”

Let me tell you what is wrong with you.

Fisrtly, nothing. It was meant for you and *insert name* not to be friends any longer. Honestly you better without her.

Secondly, I know you really hurt right now…but like chill. These things happen all the time. Friendships don’t last forever always.

Thirdly, you need to move on.
From an Islamic point of view, you’re supposed to treat her well although she treated/treats you like crap. You’re supposed to forgive her although you can’t bring yourself to do that coz honestly speaking you so hurt.

Fourthly, accept it. It’s probably gonna take few weeks, or even months…depends how close you were. So slowly, you’ll adapt to the fact that you guys are like ‘over’.

Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’aan: (some
“Close friends will be enemies on that day except the Mutaqeen ( pious/those who fear Allah …”

Nabi (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) said in a Hadith: A person will be on the day of Qiyaamah with whoever he loves.

So if you live some actor/actress, soccer player, some singer, or you bestie you will be with them on the day of Qiyaamah.

Another Hadith: A person will be on the deen (religion) of his friend so beware of whom you befriend.

Allah says in the Qur’aan: O those who believe, do not take the Jews and Christians as friends….

Now you decide ☝was your friend better for your hereafter?

Allah knows best why this happened although in that state you might totally forget this 💧

Allah grant us the company of the pious 🌻

Aameen.
