1. SPEND TIME WITH THEM
Spending time with someone increases your closeness towards them. If you spend quality time with someone, one day you’ll look back and think that atleast I spent time with them.
Speending time with someone shows your gratitude towards them. It shows that you care about them. It shows that you care about their existence.
Nabi (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) has aaid something to the effect in a Hadith that you will be with who you love.
The Ulama always point out that your company plays a vital importance. Ml abdul Hamid (Damat barakaatuh) always mentions in Hadhrat’s lectures that if you sit in the company of a perfume seller, you will smell like perfume. If you sit in the company of a blacksmith, inevitably you will smell of smoke. But if you sit with the ‘Allah – wala’s’ (i.e. the pious, the close friends of Allah) then you will become like them.
Therefore, the effect of your company will eventually fall upon you.
2. DO THINGS TO MAKE THEM HAPPY
This is such a great act. It is stated in a Hadith that if you make your Muslim brother/sister happy, Allah Ta’ala will appoint someone (an angel) to make you happy in your grave. (Something along the lines of this…)
Making a person happy gives you a feeling of happiness.
One day when the person has left the world, you will look back and feel happy that atleast I pleased them in some way or the other.
3. MAKE THEIR KHIDMAH (SERVICE)
Little things like giving someone a glass of water to drink holds lots of virtue. In Islam, nothing is regarded as insignificant. Almost all good has many rewards attached to it.
Little things like putting someones shoes for them, asking if they need help and doing anything that’s regarded as Khidmah is an act of kindness and is regarded as good character. It is also noted that when you make someone’s khidmah, you earn many du’aas.
May Allah grant us all good character.
4. MAKE DU’AA FOR THEM
When you love someone, it’s quite amazing how du’aas automatically flow from your mouth and heart for them. You make so much du’aa for them, it’s quite surprising.
It is stated in a Hadith something to the effect that one of the most accepted du’aas is the du’aa for someone is his abscence.
5. SHOW THEM SUPPORT AND COMFORT IN DIFFICULTIES
Comforting a Muslim is trying times is a good action. Removing a difficulty from another Muslim is quite rewarding.
Be supportive and do it for Allah’s pleasure.
Allah will give you from His treasure.
A/N: May Allah grant us all the company of the pious as Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’aan: O those who believe, Fear Allah and be with the truthful.
Remember me in your du’aas.
Allah is with you always ♡
