Sayyiduna Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه narrates that Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم said,
“He who loves and hates for the sake of Allah, and who spends and witholds also for the pleasure of Allah has perfect Imaan.” [Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol 2, Page 295]
Sayyiduna Mu’aadh bin Jabal رضي الله عنه narrates that Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم said that Allah Ta’ala states, “There will be pulpits of celestial light for those who love one another for My pleasure. The Ambiyaa عليهم الصلاة و السلام as well as the martyrs will envy such people.” [Jami’ut Tirmidhi, Vol 2, Page 64]
In another Hadith it states; A man will be resurrected with those whom he loves.
Who do we love?
Do we love Allah or? We know so much about the celebraties and singers etc, that when asked regarding one quality Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم had or any Sahaba رضي الله عنهم, then we don’t know. We know the celebraties lives in and out, their date of birth, country of origin, occupation, salary etc but we don’t even know our Deen that well?
Can we in that case be called Muslims?
